Samsung sponsored GQ’s Man of the Year Awards in the Middle East for the first time, aiming to showcase the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s camera performance in a bold and innovative way. The challenge was to highlight the phone’s technical capabilities in a setting filled with celebrities, influencers, and media.
Approach
At Dubai Opera, Plan Digital executed the world’s first Glambot shot entirely on a mobile phone, using the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s 480 fps slow-motion feature. The device was mounted on our robotic arm system, replacing the traditional Flex camera.
Footage was shot, transferred, branded, and delivered within 5 minutes, giving guests instant access to their cinematic slow-motion moments. Over 130 visitors, including award winners, celebrities, and models, were filmed during the event with all captured on the S21 Ultra.
